Angora goats are sheared twice a year with each yielding between 6-10 pounds of fleece. Both males and females have horns which are used as "handles" making it easier to control the animal when needed. The goats use their horns to groom and scratch themselves. It is believed that the horns help keep the animal cooler in warm weather.
